The hotel, run by the Vaughan Family – Maureen, Siobhan and Diarmuid, has been in existence for the past 100 years and continues to thrive. The hotel is renowned for it’s welcoming atmosphere and “home from home” experience the minute you step inside the door. It has all the character and ambiance of a small hotel from open turf fires to the smell of Maureen’s freshly baked brown bread, wafting from the kitchen.
Rooms 
Our small Boutique hotel offers 12 bedrooms including single occupancy rooms, double and family rooms. Most of our rooms have breathtaking views of the bay and some have views of our well maintained rear gardens that are carefully cultivated by the owner Maureen.
Food and Beverage 
All our accommodation includes breakfast as per the attached menu. Our breakfast is served in our dining room, from 8.30a.m – 10.00am where you can sit and enjoy the views of Roundstone Bay and the 12 bens mountain range.
All our cooked breakfasts are made to order and whether you enjoy the traditional full Irish breakfast or the healthy option of scrambled eggs with Connemara smoked salmon there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste. And our freshly homemade brown bread is a must.
The chefs use the best in local and in season ingredients for their delectable menu in both the restaurant and bar.
Look out for the exquisite pan fried Roundstone Bay Scallops or oven baked Black Sole served with citrus butter. Our award winning restaurant features Irish beef and Connemara lamb alongside its seafood dishes using only fresh fish caught daily off our shores. Why not try a rack of Connemara lamb seasoned to perfection with herbs fresh from Maureen organic garden, or pan fried fillet of beef smothered in a creamy peppercorn sauce washed down with an array of international wines.

Roundstone House Hotel is the ideal place to stay/dine after exploring the abundance of sights and activities the area has to offer. You can stroll along the unspoilt white sandy beaches of Gurteen and Dogs Bay, or try a spot of kite surfing or wind surfing.
The Hotel has an online walking book, featuring all of the coastal and hiking expeditions in the area, including Errisbeg hill and the twelve Ben’s mountain range. The hotel can help you plan your visit before you arrive. Copies are also available in each of the hotel rooms.

Roundstone has emerged as a reputable center of culture and art because of the luminous landscape has inspired many singers, movie makers, artists and writers. The song “Every little thing she does is magic” was written by the acclaimed singer Sting in Roundstone. If you are a movie buff, Roundstone has been a location for a number of movies such as “Into the West”, “Hear My Song”, “The Macintosh Man”, parts of “The Quiet Man”, “The Matchmaker” and more recently “Marley&Me”.
If you just want to browse the shops and pick up a bargain, Roundstone has a lot to offer with local arts and crafts, vintage, music and pottery shops within walking distance of the hotel.

Directions
The hotel is located 50 miles / 80 km west of Galway city. We are approx 1 hour ten minutes drive from Galway city taking the N59 for 65 km then turn left onto the R341 sign posted Roundstone for 15 km. Our hotel is located near the top of the village on the right hand side directly across the road from the car park.
